The food at dinner and breakfast buffets was delicious and had a lot of variety. the onsen facilities were exceptional, especially the outdoor onsen with multiple tubs and a garden view. the hotel is located in a beautiful area and offers a true Japanese experience.
The rooms were very simple and traditional, with little decoration and could use a refresh. Some staff members did not speak English, which could be challenging for non-Japanese speaking guests.

Had a great Christmas experience in a lovely spot with delicious buffet-style breakfast and dinner options. Enjoyed watching a traditional drum performance and participating in mochi pounding. The onsen experience was superb with a variety of different types of baths, all clean. The location was quiet and offered a relaxing atmosphere.
The rooms were very simple and could use a refresh. There was no shower in the traditional Japanese room, so we had to use the public showers after taking a dip in the hot springs.
